A wish is useful only when it becomes a stepping stone for an action towards your goal.
Transform your wish into a plan. If you don’t feel motivated enough to act on your goal yet, start small by jotting it down. The next time you find yourself thinking about it, get back to what you wrote and list the different steps you need to take to accomplish it. Working to achieve one’s goal can be addicting, so try to gain momentum.
It takes as much energy to wish as it does to plan.
